The Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Tourism organized the program titled “Two Generations, One Ramadan: Keeping Our Traditions Alive Together”
On March 13, 2026, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Tourism organized the “Two Generations, One Ramadan: Keeping Our Traditions Alive Together” program in the Karaca Hall. The event aimed to remind both faculty students and children—that is, two generations—of the values of Ramadan and to keep them alive.
In her speech, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Prof. Dr. Sevim Beyza ÖZTÜRK SARIKAYA stated, “With this event, we aimed to bring different generations together to share the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan, pass on our cultural and traditional values to the younger generation, and strengthen social solidarity. “We wanted to be the first at our university to revive traditions that were on the verge of being forgotten and to serve as a catalyst for this initiative. If we can make our children happy through this program, how fortunate we are,” she added.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Şahin, in his speech, said, “This event truly moved me deeply. The content of the event is truly valuable. I hope that more such events will be organized to keep our traditions alive.”
