COMPULSORY INTERNSHIP PROCEDURES OF THE FACULTY OF TOURISM

  1. The INTERNSHIP APPLICATION FORM/CONTRACT (3 copies), which is the document numbered 1 below, is filled out by the private and public institutions where the compulsory internship is planned to be carried out and which are specified in the Internship Directive. Each page must be initialed, signed, and stamped.

  2. Before the internship starts, Student Information Form for Unemployment Fund Contribution to Internship Fees is filled out in one copy by the internship institution, stamped and certified, and then submitted together with the internship documents to the dean's office.

  3. A printout of the SPAS Eligibility Inquiry (Health Provision Activation System) and a barcode-printed insured registration record must be obtained from the e-Government portal.

  4. The INTERNSHIP APPLICATION FORM/CONTRACT (mentioned in item 1), the General Health Insurance Status Document (mentioned in item 3), a photocopy of the identity card, and the internship petition must be submitted to the dean's office.

  5. A copy of the INTERNSHIP FILE (document numbered 2 below) is printed and the first page is approved by the dean's office.

  6. The INTERNSHIP ATTENDANCE SHEET (document numbered 3 below) must be filled out monthly, paying attention to the notes included. (If multiple students intern at the same institution, all attendance can be recorded on the same sheet.)

  7. Weekly leaves and public holidays must be marked on the attendance sheet with the codes (WL) for Weekly Leave and (PH) for Public Holiday. If work is performed on public holidays, the day should be marked as worked with an (X). According to the internship directive, weekends and public holidays count towards the required 60 days of internship.

  8. The "Total Days Worked" on the right side of the monthly attendance sheet represents the total number of days actually worked at the institution (marked with an X). Please ensure the attendance is recorded correctly.

  9. The monthly attendance sheet, signed and stamped by the internship institution, must be sent via FAX, EMAIL, WHATSAPP, or other communication channels to the Department Head during working days, no later than the first week of the following month. The original signed attendance sheets must be submitted along with the internship file to the departmental internship commission. For example, the attendance sheet for the internship conducted in July must reach the Department Head in the first week of August.

  10. Students doing internships in the summer term must coordinate with the Department Head to start and finish their internship on the same dates. For example, starting on July 3, 2023, and finishing on August 31, 2023.

  11. At the end of the internship, the internship file must be filled out by the institution where the internship took place, sealed in an envelope, and delivered by the student either in person or by cargo to the relevant department secretary. The responsibility for delivering the documents to the unit lies with the student.
