An Academic Board Meeting was held at our faculty on 20 February 2026. The meeting was attended by the academic and administrative staff of our faculty, and the academic and administrative processes for the 2025–2026 spring semester were comprehensively evaluated.

The first agenda item was the assessment of the 2025 personnel appreciation process by the Dean’s Office and the presentation of certificates. Certificates of appreciation were presented to our administrative staff, Fatih AY and Cihan TAN, for fulfilling their duties in the faculty with dedication, completeness, timeliness, and a disciplined work ethic. Certificates of appreciation were also presented to Assoc. Prof. Eray POLAT and Assoc. Prof. Murat ÖDEMİŞ for their ESCI-indexed articles published in journals indexed in WoS, and additionally to Assoc. Prof. Eray POLAT for receiving more than 30 citations to his publications in WoS-indexed journals over the last four years.

Within the scope of the agenda items, the end-of-term student survey results of the departments, the academic publication performance of our faculty, the current status and future planning of the unit accreditation process, and the coordination of TÜBİTAK 2209-A student research projects at the faculty level were discussed, with briefings provided by the relevant units.

The meeting also included deliberations on academic operations for the 2025–2026 spring semester, program development processes, and proposals aimed at strengthening the research capacity of the faculty. Following the collection of participants’ opinions and evaluations, the meeting proceeded to the wishes and suggestions section and was subsequently concluded.

Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Sevim Beyza ÖZTÜRK SARIKAYA, expressed her gratitude to all administrative and academic staff who attended the meeting and affirmed her commitment to ensuring that academic and administrative activities continue with high quality in the new term.
