The Gastronomy Club of Gümüşhane University Faculty of Tourism provided students with a fun and fulfilling day with its "Our Brightest Star Dreams" event held on December 29, 2025. The event started with a fun New Year's raffle where gifts were presented to 3 people. This was followed by a film screening. The film, which lasted approximately 2 hours, presented the spirit of the New Year, family ties, and the importance of sharing in an entertaining and warm way, providing viewers with both enjoyable and emotional moments. After the film screening, hot chocolate and cookies prepared by the Gastronomy Club were served in front of the Faculty of Tourism. Students enjoyed themselves by singing songs and chatting around the campfire. At the end of the event, students made their New Year's wishes, creating a visual spectacle in the sky. The organization was a meaningful gathering for the students, both fun and strengthening their social bonds. Warm and sincere moments were experienced at the event where academic and administrative staff came together with the students. Commenting on the event, Seda KAMBER TAŞ, Academic Advisor of the Gastronomy Club, said, “These kinds of events organized by our Gastronomy Club make significant contributions not only to our students' academic development but also to their social and cultural development. Students coming together and sharing experiences creates invaluable moments that strengthen university culture. I wholeheartedly congratulate all the students who contributed to this wonderful organization.” Gastronomy Club President Betül Şentürk, in her assessment regarding the upcoming periods, said, “The feedback we receive from our friends is very valuable to us. In line with their satisfaction and suggestions, we will continue to plan more inclusive, creative, and student-focused events.” The event ended at 9 PM.
