The film screening event organized by the Gastronomy Club of Gümüşhane University's Faculty of Tourism on November 28, 2025,
attracted significant interest. Approximately 80 students participated
in the event, where guests were served lemonade and popcorn at the entrance.
The event, which was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Prof. Dr. S. Beyza Öztürk Sarıkaya,
featured a screening of the gastronomy-themed film CHEF. The film, which lasted approximately 2 hours,
entertained viewers with its enjoyable story intertwining a passion for food, creativity, and culinary culture.
The film, which tells the story of a successful chef's journey of self-discovery,
both inspired gastronomy students and offered a warm and sincere look at the culinary arts.
Following the screening, Dean Prof. Dr. S. Beyza Öztürk Sarıkaya chatted with the students,
asking them if they liked the film and if they would like to see more events like this.
The students expressed their great satisfaction with the event and stated that they would be
very happy to see more activities of this kind.
Dr. Songül Seda Kamber Taş, Academic Advisor of the Gastronomy Club,
thanked the club management for their efforts in organizing the event, all
students who participated, our instructors, and everyone who supported the event. With the hope of meeting again at new events,
the program ended with an enthusiastic and meaningful closing.
