On October 15, 2025, our third-year Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students visited Kahve Diyarı and Gümüş Hotel as part of their Mixology course, led by Assistant Professor Seda Kamber Taş. 

As part of the field trip, Dr. Seda Kamber Taş first shared information with the students on topics such as the history of coffee, coffee bean varieties, roasting and grinding beans, coffee types, and equipment. Then, Kahve Diyarı Barista Yiğit Sever answered the students' questions by showing them practical examples. Sharing his industry experience, Mr. Yiğit offered selections from different coffee types and conducted tastings with our students. Subsequently, Barış Hacınebioğlu, Manager of Gümüş Hotel, which houses the Kahve Diyarı establishment, hosted our students at the hotel. Providing our students with information about the hotel, Hacınebioğlu stated that they were ready for all possible collaborations with our faculty for the development of our students and our city. Dr. Seda Kamber Taş, Assistant Professor, highlighted the importance of field trips in reinforcing the knowledge students acquire in class and expressed her gratitude to Barış Hacınebioğlu for providing this opportunity and to Yiğit Sever for sharing his knowledge.
