On October 7, 2025, representatives from the Turkish Red Crescent Gümüşhane Branch visited the Faculty of Tourism to present a certificate of appreciation to the Dean’s Office.
During the visit, the Red Crescent team and our Dean, Prof. Dr. Sevim Beyza ÖZTÜRK SARIKAYA, visited each classroom to meet with students and to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation. The discussions aimed both to inform and to encourage students to support this vital act of solidarity.

In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Sevim Beyza ÖZTÜRK SARIKAYA emphasized that blood donation plays a crucial role in giving new hope to patients, accelerating treatments, and ensuring the smooth functioning of healthcare systems. She further noted that regular blood donation also provides certain health benefits to donors themselves, underlining that donating blood is important not only for those in need but also for every healthy individual, and that everyone should contribute regularly.

Following the meetings with the students, the Red Crescent team visited the Dean’s Office and expressed their appreciation to the Faculty of Tourism and to Prof. Dr. Sevim Beyza ÖZTÜRK SARIKAYA for their continuous support of the Turkish Red Crescent, presenting a Certificate of Appreciation as a token of gratitude.
